Tubing is an important connecting element in fluidic systems. It transports liquids and gases, connects individual components and supports the reliable operation of laboratory equipment, analytical instruments, dosing systems and industrial installations. Our range includes various tubing types and materials for different requirements – from small capillary tubing to tubing with larger inner and outer diameters.
The choice of a suitable tubing material depends, among other factors, on the conveyed medium, temperature, operating pressure and mechanical requirements. Our range includes the following materials and material types:
The materials listed differ in their chemical and mechanical properties. Therefore, before selecting a product, check its resistance to the media being used as well as its permitted temperature and pressure ranges.
The inner diameter, outer diameter and wall thickness largely determine how tubing can be integrated into an existing system. Among other factors, they affect the available flow cross-section, compatibility with fittings and the installation space required.
Our range includes different sizes, from very small inner diameters in the capillary range to larger tubing dimensions. These include metric sizes and inch dimensions. When selecting tubing, check the exact product dimensions and compare them with your application requirements and the connectors being used.
Depending on the product, tubing is available in different colours, including beige, blue, yellow, orange, red, black, transparent and milky white. Coloured tubing can make it easier to distinguish lines in complex devices and systems. Depending on the material and construction, transparent versions may support visual inspection of the conveyed medium.
Even within the same material group, products can differ in composition, hardness, reinforcement and intended application. The individual product description therefore provides important information for selecting suitable tubing.
Documentation or information on standards and requirements is available for certain tubing products. Examples include USP Class VI, USP 87, USP 661, FDA 21 CFR 177.2600, as well as ISO 10993 and the sub-standards ISO 10993-4 and ISO 10993-5. The designation ADCF is also available for selected products.
These specifications do not automatically apply to the entire range or to every version of a material. Therefore, check the specific product documentation and ensure that the tubing meets the requirements of your application. Particularly in medical, pharmaceutical or other regulated applications, suitability must be assessed using the product-specific information.
To select suitable tubing, first identify the conveyed medium and the operating conditions. Then compare the chemical resistance, required inner diameter, outer diameter and wall thickness. Also consider the connection arrangement, mechanical stress and any required product documentation.
Explore our tubing solutions for different technical applications. Information on materials, dimensions, colours and product properties will help you find a suitable version for your laboratory instrument, analytical system or industrial fluid system.
